I was hoping that would solve the problem on a side not it did smooth out the idle.

I think I figured out what's going on. I was sitting in a drive through last night and I heard the EBPV close so I raised the rpm to 1500 and the valve opened immediately but while holding that rpm the valve closed and my eps dropped so this morning I unplugged the EBPV connector and the truck runs a lot better, more power down low before boost kicks in. Not as sluggish. I can now put my foot in it and rpm faster.

Hmm, you mentioned low EOT in another thread. That would also make the EBPV close more. You might want to look further into that. Maybe your engine isn't getting as hot as it should. Or maybe it is, but the EOT sensor isn't responding properly.

Coolant temp gauge never gets above the "N" on "Normal" . Outside temp 55 degrees. I'm wondering if the thermostat is stuck open or it has been removed. Il have to do more investigating. This is my first Powerstroke, I'm doing as much research on this engine as possible. I'm new to Powerstroke's but not diesels.

The dash gauge doesn't mean much; they're really imprecise. If you have a way of monitoring EOT, take it for a good long drive and monitor it. It should get up to / toward 200F.

45 min trip all highway 65-75 mph. Outside temp 48. Oil temp 176-180. 180 being the highest temp I saw. On another note. I did a cylinder contribution test and it passed. What does that mean ?

EOT seems low. At those speeds, I'd expect 190-200F EOT. Either the sensor is inaccurate, or the thermostat isn't closing; those are the two most likely explanations anyway.

Update. Still sluggish. Maybe I'm not used to the low horse power. I still think it should pull harder before the boost kicks in. I'll check the EOT sensor and thermostat.
