I have a 94 F350. Recently the turn signals and fan blower for the cab heat/AC stopped working.
Strangely I noticed that if I turned the car electrical on but didn't start the engine the blinkers and fan worked. If I started the engine they stopped working. Then I tried that again another day and it didn't work anymore.
Then just now after driving for a bit I turned the car off, then the electrical back on to roll up the windows, and when I did so the blower turned on again and blinkers worked. I started up the engine and they continued to work this time with the engine on.
To me this sounds like some kind of loose connection since it "doesn't make sense" in terms of working occasionally.
Is there anything else I might check that could cause this before I trace all the electrical?
Also, any specific electrical failure point that would cause both the blower/blinkers not to work but headlights/taillights/brakelights/reverselights/radio, etc, etc, etc all work? Seems very odd to me.
Just wanted to provide an update on this, you were right Phy. All I had to do was push the ignition switch back a little to run and everything started working. You're a wizard.
