Did you try both directions?
If so pull the valve covers and look for a stuck valve.

Well, it's not hydrolocked now without glow plugs installed, so with it not budging, it probably is an oil, or lack thereof issue.
Does it have a Motorcraft filter? Have you changed the oil after purchasing? What does the oil look like? Full too?
As asked before, I take it you bought the truck "as is" and have no recourse with the seller?
