I just installed them in my 14 XL, and the install was pretty smooth. I used a short length of romex as a wire pull to get the wire from under the steering column to the switch's. I absolutely could not locate the pass through wires and ran my own through the grommet into the engine compartment. Feed the romex or whatever you use as a pull from the switch opening toward the steering column. All plug and play.
One more question to complicate it. I have the center console, so can I just pull the piece of plastic out next to the brake controller from the front so I dont have to pull the whole console? Thanks

Yes, you can pop it out from the front, I used a flat screw driver to help it out.
There will be 4 wires with black plastic melted over the ends. You will have to look around under there with a flashlight but they're there. If you look in the engine compartment and find the other end you'll at least know what you're looking for.
I traded in my 06 F250 and bought a 2016 F250. Love it so far. Is the Upfitter Switch wire the same as far as colors and Amps go. Found this on the www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas web site for the 2015 wiring the 2016 wiring was not available yet :
Switches Circuit Color Fuse
Aux 1 CAC05 Yellow 25 Amp
Aux 2 CAC06 Green/Brown 25 Amp
Aux 3 CAC07 Violet/Green 10 Amp
Aux 4 CAC08 Brown 15 Amp
For the Pass through wires what are the colors and actual locations of these wires on my 2016 F250?
I would rather not run separate wires to the switches if I do not have to.
I looked in the engine bay, but couldn't find them. I'll check under the dash with a mirror and see if I can find them. Like I said, last night all I found was a bundle taped to a loom, but it only listed PTO items. Thanks

I looked extensively for the pass through wires in my XL and they are NOT there. I went through all the PTO wires and all areas in the cab, as well as in the engine compartment. It was actually easier to add my own wires, and that eliminates 2 splices in the circuit.
I just walked out to my 2012 and took these 2 pics, thses are what you're looking for...
This pic is under the dash, in that group the 4 wires your're looking for are in there, use the color code Krusty posted above.
This is in the engine compartment driver side behind the fuse box the 4 wires are there I didn't pull it up because it's secured and didn't want to loosen it.
Sorry, I did not think to take pictures. It was not a bad install though, the instructions were adequate. My tip is to fish a piece of romex through the coin dish slot you remove for the switches, toward the steering column, then tape the plug for the switches to that and pull it back out the hole and plug into the switch's. Everything else is plug and play.
As I stated before my pass through wires were non existent, (yes I looked there), but feel better about slipping my own wires through the grommet and eliminating 2 splices. it was pretty easy, you'll be fine! oh yea there is a filler plug installed in the connecter above the steering column you need to remove so you can connect the upfitter harness to.
