i need help

My 1976 ford f250 has a 300 inline 6 with about 500,000 miles on it it still runs strong but lately i have had push rods keep bending i replaced all of them last week and one more bent i was wondering if there was a torque spec that i had to follow or if there was a gap for the rocker arms on the valves please help i am going to work on it tomorrow

Here's the Info on valves from my Haynes Manual for the 300 I6 in specific.... maybe helpful?

I'd check and see if someone hadn't put sugar in your tank. Your valves are probably sticking and that's what is causing the bent rods. Pull the valve covers, plugs and then get a tool or long screwdriver will work and push down on the valves. You'll see they are probably sticking.
