Stall right after start
Every morning, or when my truck has been sitting for over 3-4 hours, I first have to pump the pedal and flood the carb two or three times or it won't start. Then when it starts, immediately, the idle drops down all the way and stalls. I have to start it two or three times until it stays running. Then I have to wait a while till it's completely warm so it runs smooth. I've done a complete tune up replacing a bunch of things and still no difference. What could it be??

I've done a bunch of searches on this and the main problem seems to be the IAC. But my truck is the carb, not EFI and doesnt even have a computer. Is there an IAC in my truck too?? Oh yah, it idles about 500 RMP in "'D" could the low idle be the cause??

Either the choke isn't closing at all or the diaphragm for the choke pull-off is ruptured and the choke is flooding the engine. Pull the top of the air cleaner off and watch the choke operation. Let us know what it does.
