The heater in my 2012 Flex 3.5 EB is blowing cold air at idle and low rpm. From what I've read, that means I have air in the system. Does anyone know the best way to bleed the air out of the cooling system on a Flex? Are there bleeders?
normally you just add antifreeze to the overflow tank up to the full mark.. Once the system is hot it should expel the air into the tank and suck antifreeze back into the motor. You should see the tank level drop... so refill.
I have had trouble before on a couple trucks and I park the truck , hot, on a steep incline (up hill) and let it idle for a few minutes to let the air go UP toward the front which is higher. Again, as the system cools down, it should draw coolant into the motor over night.
