Carb bogging down

Hey guys
I dont know if thats the right term but here is what my truck is doing. oh yeah its a 77 f150 w/400 edelbrock intake and 1496 carb. When i take off from a stop it seems to go faster if i wait a little before i hit the secondaries. If you floor it from the stop it just seems really slow. Any suggestions?

Carb bogging down

Sounds like the secondaries are opening too soon- you may want to check the adjustment on them.

Also, check the timing and make sure that the vacuum advance is working.
