dennis carpenter catalogue has a two page description on the installation. Go slow - it is a tight fit. I wrapped the unit in saran wrap to smooth the sharp edges from cutting in to the paint.
One area I had trouble with was the cast hinge on the vent window is VERY tender and susceptible to breaking on the removal. A lot of the connections may be under the old rubber.
It's a great improvement over my 50 year old units.
