1983 302/AOD Idle

I think I've read my self in to confusion.
Can someone please tell me what my idle is supposed to be in park and in drive?
Currently it is 1000 rpm in park and 650 rpm in drive.
These figures are when the truck is fully warmed up.

Thanks.

That seems a little bit high.

I set mine to 750 RPM in Park, and 550 RPM in drive.

If you reduce your engine RPM, make sure to also adjust your AOD TV rod.

Yes, that sounds like the one. It would be located behind the top of the throttle lever.

Thank you for your help. I have read your many posts in regard to the AOD transmission. Your knowledge is much appreciated.
