I just yesterday purchased a 1966 F800, gas big block with air brakes. 20k original miles and was in a barn for almost 20 yrs. unfortunately the guy I bought it from bought it to rob the front clip from. He stuck the old rusty mess on my truck. So I need to find a front clip. I know in the gmc and chevy larger trucks most of the body is the same as the small trucks. Did ford do the same thing. Like is the hood on a F800 the same as the hood on a F100? Does anyone make replacement body panels for the larger trucks? Is the F600 and F700 the same body? Any help would be great!

I do believe the hood is interchangeable between the '61-'66 no matter which size, I have a '62 Mercury unibody that has a '66 F350 hood on it. I also think you will be able to use parts from the F600 as the cab, front clip, and everything else is the same except brakes if memory serves.

 

F800 hood is not the same as F100/750.
