With broken windshield and door glasses, a ton of West Texas dirt had settled into the F600. I did a little cleaning this week and removed an old "cowboy" seat cover that revealed this:
My ½ton has a later model seat, so this will probably get redone for it. It feels like it sits in a more relaxed position than the other. The F600 was advertised as a 28k original mile truck, but there was no way to document it. This might be enough to convince me.
I took my bed to the body shop at our dealership. This was an on-the-side project but no one got in a hurry. So now I have New England Speedshop patch panels installed, but a long way to go with the rusted floor. Since no one reproduces the floor section, I suppose I'll find a late model bed floor and try to graft it in as best I can. Until I find a donor, at least I'll have a bed and tail/stop lamps.
A little premature installing the bed, but it was the easiest way to transport it home. And until I get around to grafting in a new floor, my truck can somewhat resemble a pickup again.
