Returning Wipers?

So i have a 79 f150 ranger. The windshield wipers dont return when i turn them off mid-wipe. I have friends with trucks around the same year and they all have returning wipers. Any idea if something is bad or what. Kinda confused and just wanna what you guys have to say.

They should return. Make sure all the wires going to and from your wiper switch are good.

The "park switch" under the cover on the wiper motor is most likely bad. You may be able to pull it apart and clean it but may want to just replace the wiper motor.
