Hello Tom, I guess my plans are to trouble shoot and find out why my door poppers are not working on my panel, shouldn't have done the shaved door mod, getting to be a pain in the ***..

Did you get your poppers figured?
Some mods scare me. I love doing custom stuff, but I hate the idea of having to find replacement parts down the road. I see people use door handles, 3rd brake lights and such from modern passenger cars. All I can think is where do I find those parts when they fail. Most passenger car parts will end up being obsoleted. Then that cool mod ends up costing you a lot more time and effort to repair/replace.
Morning Tom, it ended up being an easy fix, just a blown fuse, I think the button on the Fob got stuck when I opened the rear door, will keep an eye on it and carry extra fuses in the future. I'm trying to keep this build I'm doing now a little simpler and definitely has door handles. Never again would I put the shaved handles..
Hope u had a good night. Mine wasn't the best ever.
Blew a brake line driving home from work. On the highway. No damage to the truck as I was able to avoid getting into an accident. But the line that blew is behind the midship tank. So to fix/replace the line I need to drop he tank.
Glad things didn't get too hairy for you Tom, scary feeling loosing your brakes. I always liked the woo factor...
Yeah, nothing really scary.... was approaching an off ramp in traffic. applied the brakes to slow down with the turning traffic.... as I was slowing down I felt a bang, thinking I was just hit I looked behind my self and saw no issue. applied the brakes again and the pedal went to the floor. UT-O!!!
Looked to my left as my truck was picking up speed and approaching the car in front of me. Saw no traffic to my left and veered over. Pulled into the median, hopped out, started looking for a leak so I could pinch it off and limp home.
No such luck, the line was leaking right behind the fuel tank.
Called one of my buddies who ones a big tow company for a tow... and waited.
