Mine would stabilize in the 190s if I remember right. These transmissions have a thermostat for the cooling circuit that regulates temperature. It should run around that temperature pretty much year round, and a few degrees warmer when you're towing. I never was able to get mine over 220.
Perfect! Thanks everyone. We were having trouble with it running warm and not shifting properly. Found out the mechanic did not have the hoses hooked up to the tranny cooler. Now that it's fixed we wondered what 'normal' was. We will tow again in a few days so we shall find out.
