Harness came in the mail today. Spent a good while just staring at it. A little daunted, but I reckon I will try to keep my cool and do everything right.

Started removing wire from the truck today. Back is a little sore so I didn't last too long on the ground, but more to come soon. Going to source some parts (heater controls, turn signal switch, heater core, etc.) before I go putting everything back together. Going to be a couple weeks before then though.

Ranger 429 says: For anyone looking for a brass/copper core advanced auto part number 398304 is the correct one. It is also the same core that fits early, 68'ish mustangs. Laurel Mountain Mustang is where I bought mine from. Part number just in case it is needed in the future:
For A/C 18476-1A
For non A/C 18476-2
1973-79 BRONCO HEATER CORE - WITHOUT A/C - BRASS | Laurel Mountain Mustang
Also NAPA but makes sure and ask are they aluminum or copper?
Copper is what you want.

Thanks again for the info! Thankfully, my wipers worked before I started all this, so I know that I have the two speed wipers.

Great time to locate a delay box and get "delay" wipers. 1st pic is off a newer 80's? truck and you have to do some rewire, 2nd pic is off a 79, and is plug and play.

Likely not a bad idea. Generally I drive the Bronco in the rain, so it really isn't a big deal. Not that north Cal has a real bad habit of raining all the time.

So since we're in here talking about this, I put intermittent wipers in my truck out of a 79 and can't find the power wire in my 74 harness. (The very reason you need to label stuff before you take it out) would you be able to get me a picture of the connector you labeled on the harness side?
