2016 Chime Speaker Delete
I took some dash pieces off to get to the cluster. Pulled the cluster and took the black back cover off of it. There was the speaker. I stuffed some pieces of cotton ***** in the speaker then covered it with duct tape. Put it all back together and problem solved. It is totally reversible, all factory wires are still intact. It is so quiet I had to hold my ear as close to the dash as possible to make sure it still functioned. One my get by with just putting tape over the speaker. Anyways, this was easy for me and I'm extremely happy with the result.
I used green tape over the speaker before I put the black cover back on, it is in the picture
Thanks for the tip, although I am waaaaayy to scared to remove anything,.....yet! We'll see how it goes.
