Okay. So I need all help here. Got the Bluetooth obd off eBay and got torque pro like a lot of guys are doing. Got torque pro going and added extended pids for powerstroke.
So here's my problems. I'm not showing a oil temperature on there at all. Also I see there are about 4 different readings for FICM. But all are showing around 9v, and I know this isn't right cause my edge reads 45. And also what about battery voltage.
Any help would be appreciated. I've tried for several days to figure this out and can't seem to get it.
I use the LELink OBDII adapter with OBD Fusion app for iPhone and have had very minimal problems loading and reading user defined pid's. I understand this does not help your current situation but it may be another avenue.
I have tried vgate (the one with the power switch) and plenty of other cheap ebay adapters for around $10. After a few months they all seem to start reading parameters wrong. For instance the coolant temp started dropping for no reason then would jump up 5 degrees then drop 8 degrees, etc. I was thinking i had a bad oil cooler. I purchased a BAFX adapter since they stress on their site about quality control and the fact their adapter is compatible with all Ford vehicles. So far after a few weeks it has been working great... the Delta's for Oil and Coolant are within 5 degrees. It's not expensive at a little over $20. I figured I would give it a try before spending $100 on one of those OBDLink MX Bluetooth devices. Those cheap adapters are hit and miss from my experience.
The Kiwi2 is on sale for $39 right now. It is a good bit bigger than most of your $20 adapters, but the normal price is $79 and I doubt you'll have issue with it. I just got mine, but can't tell you about using it because there is an issue with my truck and no power to my OBD port.

Try replacing the fuse for the cigarette lighter. It shares the same curcuit with the OBD port. That fixed my issue.
I don't want to buy another adapter. The coolant temp and trans temp work so the oil should also. I just need to find someone else using the vgate and see how there's is
(Notyourmailman) check pin 16 on your obd2 on your truck with a meter. Make sure your on DC voltage. I believe its the pin on the bottom and furthest to the right
