Bad Brake Pedal Pulsing!

Bad Brake Pedal Pulsing!
I've got a classic case of brake pedal pulsing when stopping above 20 mph, and I'm wondering if there is a good way of finding out if it's the front disks or rear drums that are wonky...
It sort of feels like it's coming from the back end, but that's far from scientific... Is there a quick and effective way of narrowing it down front or back, maybe even finding out which side it's coming from?
Thanks!
BTW, checked the rear drums today and they are on their last surface... not enought metal left on them to refinish one more time...

one way to check the front rotors that has worked fairly good for me in the past is take the front wheels off and turn the rotors by hand if they are as bad as you say you should be able to feel them drag then turn free also look at your pad wear. i would say it is more than likely your fronts if the pulse starts as soon as you push the brake pedal. hope this helped

Okay, thanks for the suggestions. I checked the front left disk today and notice it was catching firmly at one point. It's also about .97 inches thick, which means it needs to be replaced soon, not enough metal to refinish.
Will check the other side tomorrow, but I suspect I've got the culprit...
