so at the shop the other day, coworker and I tried to diagnose why there was no power to the main heaters and some outlets. Had tester probes and such, flicked the breakers multiple times. While I was at the docs, electrician and building owners concluded that there was a loose hanging wire inside the box, and had wiggled its way down while we were diagnosing the power problem, and arced inside the box. 480 went through the whole ****ing thing, sounded like a grenade went off by my face. Coworker was on a ladder a foot away when it happened, threw me back 4 feet.

I wanted to take the panel off before flipping the breaker one last time, turns out if I had, it would have killed me.

Doc cut off half the skin on my hand, and left some of the minor burns on my thumb, pointer and index finger to heal on their own. burn mark on my thumb and pointer where I was pushing the breaker on. its been a fun ****ing start to the new year.

in other news, my ole ford might get to start for the first time in years. This incident blew some plans out of the question, but I was at work the next day hammering down. Didnt feel a thing, doc said my body was in shock from the pain, but I didnt feel a thing, and still dont. it was funny to walk around the shop before I went to the docs, peeling my skin off in front of my coworkers. Never have I seen so many grown men about pass out before.

oh I know. And HELL NO. Ill be light duty when im dead. Today I ripped a core support out, using my insane air hammer with the injured hand. The only thing I am careful of is getting fluids on the bandages, since most fluids I use would sting, hurt, or kill me.

I seriously thought they were gone when I seen the skin. My hand was curled up, so I saw the skin, and not the fingers. Then I opened my palm out

Be careful and don't let the burn get infected. No have never seen that on a hood.

If the rains hold off one more day I should have my repair panel on.

Next week I will go light duty for 5 -6 weeks after the scope on my knee

I am being very careful.

If you are queezy, dont look below. This was after the bandage was taken off today, before doc cleaned it up. No infection, looks good, cleaned and peeled layers of skin off, and got it to bleed. Now the healing can begin. never in my life have I ever gotten sick at the docs, but watching him peel skin off and wipe it down was over the edge.

I am still hanging in here.I help the wife take care of the little guy and knock a few things off the list of things that bother me around our house. List includes doors that need a little shaving to close without binding, hanging the hand and foot print of the little guy on the wall. I had to take my heat gun and remold some of the pvc guard rails around the pool as they were drooping and looked really bad.

When I am taking care of the little guy while the wife takes a nap I am getting caught up on past episodes of Graveyard Cars and watching velocity TV. I am not working on vehicles but I am watching it on TV...

That hand looks bad, reminds me of my hand when I was trying to light a pilot on a propane heater, I lost my eye brows too. I was averaging one emergency room visit per year when I either try to break or cut something off. I did have one emergency room visit last year and I hope the trend continues.

When my headaches were so bad. I was a frequent flyer. My last screw up was about 5 years ago when I cut my finger with the skill saw.

Good to know even you have your limits. Haha.

My most recent ER experience was a lacerated finger. Five stitches from a door striker plate.

WTH. I hit it just right.

Another wet weekend locked up inside.

Yea I know, I might try to watch some football to kill some time. Just glad it is not going to be something crazy like snow or bad storms. I started doing my taxes and I am going to get a pretty good return this year so I will get a little of that box on the porch illness. Going to get some stuff for the 79 and get it back on the road, even if I just use it around the yard and take the trash to the dump.

I got my winning numbers for tonight's power ball!!!!
