Ok, it's technically not 2016 yet, but my truck is parked for the winter, and I've got a lot of work I'd like to accomplish in the next few months.
I pulled the center section out of my 9" rear, and dropped it off to have it rebuilt. I'm going from a 2.75 ratio to a 3.50.
Next up, floor pans. I pulled the seat, and removed the panels that were functioning as my floor. Here's what I have now.
I have a replacement pan already. Tomorrow I'll start cutting away at the rust and fit the new pan in place. Looks like I've got some bad spots in the toe boards to deal with as well.
Your cab is going to be so much nicer with new floor panels. It's also a good opportunity to access some of those hard to reach spots. Rock on my friend.
Shorly after starting this thread, I brought the bench seat into the house to reupholster it. I pulled the cover off the seat bottom to find the original cover:
I stripped the seat completely bare, removing several mud dauber and mouse nests in the process. Also found some of the metal bracing on the drivers side of the seat was broken. Life got in the way, and progress stalled after that.
Until yesterday. Yesterday I installed my newly rebuilt 9" center section, (Bolted in, oiled, hooked up the driveshaft), aligned/leveled my rear bumper, and applied some pretty ugly welding to my seat. It looks bad, but it should hold. (And it won't show when it's covered anyway). I'm going to go back and re-read the welding thread before I get started on my floorpans.
Speaking of the my floor pans. I'm trying to figure out what to do about the front cab mounts. The portion that extends inside the cab is pretty much gone. In order to install replacements, am I going to have to pull the cab? I really don't have the room for that right now. Thoughts?
I guess I should rename this to be Winter/Spring 2016 build thread. Finally finished the seat. Actually, not really. I ran out of hog rings. I'll have it finished when I get more.

I'm still working away on the truck as time allows. Decided to go ahead and convert the front brakes to discs. Got the passenger side disc on, drivers side will hopefully be done today.
While I had the wheels off I took the the opportunity to replace my bent tie rod and badly worn out tie rod ends.
Next up I'll be replacing the single master cylinder with a dual, and learning how to bend and flare brake lines.
After the brakes are completed, I'm going to finally pull the gas tank, and start welding in the cab. In addition to fixing the floor and toe boards, I'll be installing shoulder belt mounts.
I'm going to be committing more time to it from now until it's completed. I'd like to have it done by the end of the month, but I'm not holding my breath. I absolutely have to have it done by Memorial Day, as I've signed up for a car show that day.
While fitting the master cylinder, I noticed my brake and clutch pedals have significant amount of wobble to them. I'm guessing the bushings are shot. So, I thought to myself, "While I'm here..." and pulled the pedal assembly.
Fast forward a few hours, and I'm still trying to get it disassembled. This pin is being very stubborn.
I'm tempted to drill it out at this point. It doesn't want to budge.
