I am trying to remove my nearly 40 year old cab mounts and they are really putting up a fight. Im replacing all 4 corners and also the ones under the radiator. I cant get the upper and lower to separate, that is if they are supposed to separate, I may be going about it all wrong. Thanks for any help you can give.
Use a bolt the same size as the ones you took out. Thread the bolt in just past the bottom of the nut. Take a BFG a start whacking the hell out of the top of the bolt. Try to hit it STRAIGHT down !!!! It may take a bit but they will pop through . worked for me and I am just a little guy. Pops

This tactic worked for me. I used a BFH as I expect Popajon did too. It's amazing how 40 years can almost weld things together.
It is not they they are rusted together. When they are installed the bottom metal piece is flared inside the upper piece so that they do not come apart. Threading a bolt in through the top and walking it with a hammer forcibly removes the flare.
I realized this after I cut mine off and wanted to put on poly bushings. I ended up having to fab up new metal inserts and spacers.
This is where I left it today. Tomorrow I should have the drive-train out and then its time to start cleaning and putting her back together. Thanks for all the responses, Ill start beating those mounts out tomorrow.
