Transfer case not engaging
2003 ex 6.0 limited....300000 miles ...Automatic.Merry Christmas to all.My Transfer case will not shift into 4wd . Dash light for 4wd high and low works .I get no power to transfer case 2pin connector when key turned on.Also fuses 19,27,31,33,34,45,111 are all good when checked with meter.I also swapped 2 relays in engine compartment and no change.4 WD Switch on dash has power on Green/red wire I think it is for dash light and not for operation.Any help with this issue would be helpful..........Thanks

Well that is a mouthfull. When I short out the power pins on the transfercase plug (2pins) with light I should get flashs to show that the circuit is testing.I get nothing...... That tells me that the 4x4 switch on the consule is not sending message to transfer case motor to select a 4x4 mode.Is that correct

Well I found my problem.....ESOF Module in the dash behind the glove box is toast from a leak in the wind shield.Now I just have to find a replacement...P/N 3C3T-14B205-AB. Prices seem to range from 80 to 200$....Any suggestion would be welcome

So when I went to check fuses I wanted to check locations so I went to manual in glove box. The manual was soaking wet . I read that GEM was above glove box and a light went on.Sure enough after removing the module it was completely corroded.So after the fact I read that Ex's have issues with water egress in the windshieds
