I am installing a 1995 351w where my 1995 300 (4.9L) was. I bought a complete motor except it was missing the flywheel. I know that the flywheel has a 28.2 oz weight to it and the crankshaft dampner has a 28.2 oz weight to it, my question is...
How do I know if the flywheel is mounted correctly (short of starting the truck and destroying the mains if it is wrong)?
Is there some markings on the crank that show how the flywheel is supposed to line up? Or do I need to look at the dampner and set the flywheel weight on the opposite (180 degrees) from the dampner weight?
According to a mechanic the flywheel bolts only line up one way? It sure doesn't look like that is right. Any help is appreciated.
if i remember right it will only line up one way. otherwise i am in trouble hehe let us know if you find something different. just put it up and take a look.
