Fitting New Shocks

I'm in the Process of replacing the Factory Shocks on my 2016 F250 4X4 with Bilstein 4600s. When I try to order them for a 2016 it says they will not fit, but if I put in 2015 they are available. As far as I know, the suspensions on the 2015, and 16 are identical. Am I Correct? Tnx

Yes, they are identical. I'm guessing the website you're on just hasn't updated their fitment guide yet.

You'll be happy with the Bilsteins!

Thanks Rodney: That's what I thought, just wanted to confirm. Yes I had the Bilstein 4600s on my 2011 F250, totally different Ride, and handling was much better..................Lew

I just installed the 5100 bilsteins on my truck last week and I really like them.

I've used the 4600's on all previous trucks and they're also on my wife's expedition. They are great, durable and strong. I wish I knew what the difference between the 4600 and 5100 is but so far I'm not sure, it's hard to compare them.

Regarding the steering stabilizer, I've found that we need to order the part for a 2014 year model. Everywhere I've searched has said "there are no parts available for your vehicle" if I try to use the current year.

So, good luck, I'm glad I'm not the one tasked with updating all these parts web pages.

Joel, the 5100's are identical to the 4600's except are 2" longer to handle a small lift. They are also perfectly fine at stock height. I too did the 5100's as I don't care for the blue and yellow of the 4600's. I also did the 5100 steering stabilizer.

Thanks, good thing I didn't say "wow these 5100's are so much better than the 4600's I had". The zinc does look a lot better. The yellow is completely hidden inside the coil spring, dust cover, and wheel/tire on my wife's expedition so it's not an issue there.

I like the Blue and Yellow Look. This is a shot that I took of my 2011 F250 before I traded it in.

I replaced the factory junk at 25,000 miles with the 5100 series shocks and steering stabilizer...nice ride!!

I ordered all through Amazon as they had the best price at the time.

Their order number was: 24-196284. 46mm mono tube steering damper for $75.76
