I have 87 bronco I'm don't do any (serious) off roading, but thinking of a lift maybe 4"
just for looks and extra tire clearence, on the suspension kit whats the difference in th different class levels like class I , II, III ect. ?? any recomendations on the best set up? Thnx! DW
The class I or II is a skyjacker thing. Class I gives you weaker axle pivot drop brackets, radius arm drop brackets (not great), and blocks for the rear. The class II gives you stronger axle pivot brackets, longer radius arms (great!), and new leaves for the back suspension. The class I is for someone who doesn't really off road, and wants to get lifted for cheap and doesn't mind sacraficing a bit of driving comfort. The class II will make your rig ride like stock and have all the strength you'll need off road.
Thanks for the reply, I do go off road, but not harsh palying like some guys, I want to do it right and not (half-assed) I want it to be as good as stock or better, I'm not looking for cheaper, more concerned with quality of the suspension and ride over cost. Thnx DW
MustangGT221 Nice looking truck! I dont think i want my bronco that high so i'm think 4" with 32-33" 12.50's on 10" rims. So how does it ride compared to stock? Did you do yours your self? Thnx DW
Yep, installed myself, it's my second lift kit installation. I don't have pics of the 35's on the page yet, those are 32/11.5s. They don't make a 32/12.5. Most people go 4" and 33/12.5s. I have 10" wheels and don't really prefer the look over a narrower rim. I had my 32's on 7.5" wide wheels and it gives a nice buldge to the sidewall. Most people put 10s on it though, I don't see many 8.5" wide wheels. I also got the superlift superrunner steering and a new steering box. Steering is vastly improved over stock and I am putting dual stabilizer's on it so it will be even better. I don't have sway bars, so I will probably put some on to increase handling. It's not bad right now, but could be better in the corners. I went with the 6" and 35s because i don't like 33's, too wide and not tall enough. I like the feel of driving this truck now, it's better to drive than before. It feels more planted on the road and I feel more secure. It's a little stiffer and bumpier, but it's a brand new suspension it'll take some time to break in and smooth out. I've had it for 3 months.

yep i think thats the way i wana go, except with the 4" lift instead, my Bronco has front and rear sway bars, so i want go with a polygraphite bushing kit for the wholesuspesion, 4" lift, ext. radious arms, drop pitman arm, and the rear leafs insted of blocks, and it has the factory quad shocks so with a good set of shocks and a steering stabalizer it should do very well, What do you think?
