Air Suspension Change Over

I have a 04 Navigator. I am changing to coil over shocks. Will there be any check engine lights when i delete the air ride set up?

There are many kits available. The bottom line is, 'how much do you want to spend'?

I too got fed up w/ that air susp on my 05.......took that junk out and just replaced w/ junkyard original coil/struts that cost $200 total...put them in an afternoon

never looked back...don't notice a difference and I love the piece of mind of not having to worry about if my rear end was going to be jacked up or down or if one side was lower than the other.......lol

For some like yourself it makes sense to do that, but for those that tow or often carry heavy loads then the air suspension is a godsend.

I pull military trailers and a travel trailer on a reg basis

haven't really noticed a diff other than a slight bit of backend sag...those coil/struts are pretty stout

the positives def outweigh the negatives

air susp while in warranty is great........after that it is expensive to fix and really tough for even the Ford techs to accurately nail down a diagnosis

If you only knew the crap I've done on just jack stands.

I've replaced the entire front end components, hubs, rotors and pads on jack stands, so taking four bolts out of a shock is no big deal.

I'm sure I could've gotten to the shocks at this point. Lol.
