2004 power stroke white smoke no start

I need help bought a 2004 power stroke with 100k miles, ran well for 15k miles then started having low power for first few minutes to no power, regular oil changes and fuel filters at 5k, checked FICM 48v KOEO , 48v cranking, new batteries just in case. Oil pressure when cranking at 50% of gauge , even crank cycle will jump when trying to fire, no loss of coolant, block heater working, it did start a few a few times and blew white smoke until warm then full power but the last 2 times I did get it to start it ran for less than 1 minute and died could not re start, fresh fuel additive in both fuel and oil for stickshion, have read hundreds of posts but not seeing similar problems no codes. With key cycle 120 amp draw on passengers battery for approx 25 seconds 48 amp on right battery glow plugs good due to the amp draw?
So I think my FICM is good, good oil pressure cranking, the oil pump should be good, ICP good? Because of gauge coming up? Everything I read says black smoke for EGR soot issues. Not sure where to look. Any ideas or did I miss something , I live in western Oregon so not really that cold.

Do you have a way to check the actual ICP readings either by voltage or the pressure reading from SGII or torque pro? The oil pressure gauge on the dash is just for the low pressure side of things.

Have you verified fuel quality (as in it hasn't been gassed up by any chance)? How about fuel pressure? How about injector pre-cycling (do all eight injectors sound like they are up and running) when you first turn the ignition to the RUN position just before cranking the engine over to start it? How does the EGR valve look when you remove it? EGR valves JAMMED open with carbon can cause extremely hard starts, and even a no start in my experience one time.

Thanks for the reply I am a disabled vet and althow my hearing was damaged both my wife and son can hear the ticks with key on. they have on several utube videos I can hear them on the truck but not well on the computer, everything I have read says black smoke on the EGR, and will probably have to have the truck taken to a shop to do this unless I let it sit until I have some strength built back up ... Just can't afford to do this for a while , but will try when I am able. Thank you for your reply

I finally got the EGR seal kit from Rockauto not bad at 7.35. Pulled the valve it was cleaner than the one in the utube video I watched, still cleaned it up, the port was clean at the bottom no buildup at all vacuumed it out and put the valve with new seals. The valve opened easily and closed liquid tight, it held the cleaner in the cups so I don't think it was leaking. Still no start. To answer the fuel question I am the only one that drives this truck and it has only had diesel from good stations. My son is going to help me check the ICP sensor this weekend any other ideas while I have his help,

Pull the upper fuel filter cap and see if fuel flows when the key is on.

It looks like my o4 is an early one the valve cover sticker says o3 and the ICP sensor is really a pain to get to, is there an inexpensive Bluetooth or wifi device that will read the codes and the ICP sensor, IPR , I have read about several but haven't found one that can do this . I don't have a laptop or I would consider buying a pro kit to go with this thing when I get rid of it

Torque Pro works well if you have an android device similar apps are available for Apple, with these you need a Bluetooth obdII adapter you can get these on eBay starting from about twenty bucks on up I would get the best quality one you can afford as the update rates are better

Any one out there using an I phone with one of the wifi odb2 I have read about a dozen things that say dont buy blue tooth, finally found one that said it met the specs then in the fine print as I was going to order it said it did not work with ford trucks or diesels.
I would like to stay under 50.00 and a positive from some one using I phone and a specific brand would be helpful because I find many units say the meet all the specs then in the reviews they will not connect. especially if you have a 6.0

The Kiwi2 wifi adapter for iOS is on sale. Never used one, but I just bought the BT version because all of my research showed good reviews.
Not quite under $50 though.

I looked them up and saw the new 3 and thought that would be worth the price but after not getting my question about if it works with a diesel only they were 68% sure if I had pre ordered it might ship by the end of January so I am still looking, the only ones I have found that may work are AE brand that cost 78 for the unit then 78 for xl software and another 78 for the ford package have to have xl for ford package to work.
And another one that requires a laptop + about 350 in software
Is there anyone out there that has a reader that will read ICP icr and other codes on a 04 diesel 6.0, if I need to pay 2-300 it needs to do my ford ,2015 Chevy, and Honda CRV
Please someone that has used a specific device with a 6.0 . If I can't get it running this is the last ford I will ever buy. Chevy and Toyota make better trucks but after the bail out I was going back to ford as I lost my 07 in a mill fire and could only afford this thing, my exploder has 270k my CRV has 180k I take care of my rigs and since the truck has been dead for 3 months the wife insisted on the Chevy for her new car last month. Any one have some real experience with a scanner on the 04 f350 diesel?
