Fuel filler

Where can I find a source for a filler tube for the gas tank on my 48 F1?

This brings up a question. What is the difference between the ODs on the filler pipes between years?

I ordered a hose from Classic Haulers which turned out to be too small for the pipe(s) I have. On my '51, the ID of the hose has to be 2 1/4" because the fill pipe is 2 1/4" OD. The hose I received had an OD of 2 1/4" so the ID was something like 1 3/4". The CH catalog shows their hose is good for '51-'72. The parts manual shows no diameters for the pipes.

So I wonder if the fill pipe for September '51 and newer trucks are the smaller diameter, or if the CH parts are just wrong.

Tinman, PM sent. UnderthebridgeJim, I'm needing a stock filler tube. Jollyrogerjoe, The fuel tank outlet is 2 1/4" O.D. on my 48, if this helps.

Well, I also have a spare filler tube you can have if needed. The extra I have takes a larger cap than the one in my truck, which I think is stock.

No thanks Ross. I got the right hose a while back. And IIRC, you sent that hose offer in an email to another Joe... I'll see if I can find that... Yes, on Sept 10. But I forgot all about it with everything that's happened since Truckstock.
