Hey guys, I have a 2003 F350 lifted 10" with 41" tires. I have a hell of a time with steering at low speeds, it really does not want to turn the 41s. Have any suggestions on a power steering upgrade? Also the front tires hit on the leaf springs at a certain point. Would you reccomend just a larger offset wheel?
Welcome to the workd of weak ford power steering. Even stock trucks with stock tires have issues steering at dead stop, guys on here say its the geometry of the pitman arm but its just a underpowered system. There are conpanies that make hydralic steering for our trucks, either add one or go to a smaller lift and smaller tires. And nice truck!
My f350 with light weight 5.4 has trouble turning 33" pizza cutters and yes ive done synthetic fluid flushes, new moog ball joints running full synthetic grease, new axle ujoints running synthetic grease and nothing helps
If you are in the states source some archoil to add to your power steering fluid. It makes a noticeable difference. There is a you tube video about it.
