I have a 99 F250 light duty with a 5.4l engine in and i here so much about these 460's would it be worth swapping the 5.4 for the 460?? and if i did what would be the benifits?
You will have lots of problems installing anything but the 5.4L, I voted 5.8L but only because I've heard of the problems that the 5.4L had iin early milage.
You must have alot of time and resources to repower a 99 with a different engine.
How do overcome the electronic trans and the OBDII computer? That , I think, will be your hardest challenge.
My van had a 460 in it, when it was running correct it got 8 mpg put it had some torque, my brother but a 4 bbl dbl. pumper and it flow off the line set you back in your seat till you hit about 45mph then it would let up, the only problem with it was I was getting 3 mpg. not good.
