hello all i need some help/ i bought a 89 f150 extended cab with the efi 351 installed the guy i bought it form said it had about 50000 on it. well i got the truck home and started to tear it apart want to rebuild the motor by getting rid of the efi and carbing it. well when i statred to pull the motor on the valve covers were stickers say "property of ford motor prototype division" so to be honest with ya i dont know the year or any specs opf the motor i pulled the motor and got nukbers off of verious parts hoping someone could help.
bottom of the block is "f4te-6015-aa"
in the oil valley " 351 wcp22"
cam "f4te-6250-ba"
intake "rf-e8te-9k461-bb"
heads "2l18"

You're gonna ruin that motor by carbin instead of fixing the EFI. You will lose 8-10 mpg and lose power to boot. Yes it is easier to build a carbed motor but the EFI is alot more capable than you think. IT also has a fuel management system that increases the MPG. Consider this, a Stock EFI 351 is 210hp and 325tq. A stock 2bbl carb 351 is 140hp and 250tq.
i understand that stock to stock the efi is alot better but im not building a stock motor if i was i would just rebuild and be done with it. by the time i do the work and get the chip burned what do i have a a lot of expense and a engine compartment that looks like hell. im going for a clean show look and i dont want a buch of wires and plumping and such. i guess ishould have been more clear in my intentions. sorry.
All I can tell you is it's a 94 comercial (truck) block.
When you get it running let us know how the change over went. This is still an option for me. Even if I would rather keep it EFI or not. But I have thought of doing this.
