>IT ALSO LEANS ALOT ON DRIVER COMPETENCE AS FAR AS ETA TIMES
>ARE CONCERNED...DONT FORGET THAT IMPORTANT FACT.

This is why I made the point that I was the driver of both cars......and I'm not too shabby, I've had many passes down the strip

As far as HP ##s go Cheby seems to inflate those #s. I go by real world seat of the pants. One thing I am sure of is my 5.8 Ford motor puts out a hell of alot more usable HP than my buddies 95 Tahoe 5.7 motor. I also owned a 93 E-150 with a 5.0 and my parents had 94 GMC Van with the 5.7 motor and I swear my van was faster with my boat behind it than the GMC was with nothing.
I'm not sure about the rollerskates some people drive but I wouldn't give up my Bronco for one. My wife drives a 96 Taurus SHO,my friend has a vette(OK but not worth the $$ in my book) and I got to drive a NASCAR at a local track. I wouldn't want to be in traffic with any one of them. I'm just afraid I'm going to squash one someday.

well mister no worry's just had my vision checked and can see clear as a bell, I really don't care if you think i saw one or not, it was right beside me and i can tell you without a shadow of a dought it was purple with a black top. There are paint shops and people do spend money to change their vehicles, its been known to happen.

just wanted to ask desertdawg if he still sleeps with his teddy bear and if it helps him sleep better at night knowing he's safe in bed, it was a little stop light fun, you grow up.

and as for stalled, i'm very well aware that a covette will fit in my bed, not quite sure what your trying to say with the cruise along side of a semi thing, care to explain a little. and as for the real story, we probably nerver got over 45 before we slowed down, and since you seem know exactly how it happened let me finish it for you, fool on truck continues laughing at dork in corvette as dork in corvette try's to run over toyota 4 runner in front of him, run's a red light, pulls an eligal u-turn through 4 lanes of traffic so he can turn left, dork was already in the left lane. To top it off a vette should never expend any kind of effort pulling away from most cars on the street, especially a truck. And any day you would like to show me your fabulous vette, i would be more than happy to park my truck on top of vette. Don't get know safer than that eh desertdawg. Maybe you could help clean up the fiberglass and plastic. A good reason for pizza joints using trucks is that they must be more reliable than their chevy counterparts. food for thought.

just one more thing for stalled, if i was to get out of my truck in into something that would make me crap my pants, i sure as hell woouldn't get into a vette, i also have been down the 1/4, i run 10.28 on a stock cbr 1100, which also runs a 190 mph, don't believe you have anything fast enough to make me crap, sorry to get ya all wound up over an experience i had.
