6.0 owner here

That depends on who you talk to. Some guys have good luck with them, others have nightmares. Basically treat it about like your 6.0. Do the deletes, tunes, keep the oil changed and replace the fuel filters regularly. Use motorcraft filters, a fuel additive for lubrication, and drain the fuel/water separator monthly, if not more. Guys that use their trucks a lot seem to have better luck than those that only use them occasionally. These motors are meant to be worked, not parked in a driveway waiting for the occasional tow/haul.

-injectors have problems
-high presure fuel pump has problems
-rocker arms have problems
-lifters have problems
-cam lobe issues
-pistons have been reproted to melt
-compliants of ticking noises
-complaints of low power
-exhaust manifolds blow thru
-turbo failures
-folks getting stranded due to sensor codes
-fuel system filtration and water seperator is inadequate
-coolant system clogs
-water pump back wall developes holes due to corrosion (this fills the engine with coolant)
-secondary fuel filter will clog from white gel as a result of water that gest past the primary filter
-the water in water seperator light often does not work
-if used as a local daily driver....the regen process will kill your MPG
I could probally triple this list in 15 minutes...but I think you get the idea.....yes I own one....and the issues is not so much the above problems....but the repair costs involved....all you need to do is google 6.4L issues problems etc...the horror stories are out there.
Even though I did my reaserch before I bought mine....I guess I did not dig deep enough...becuase if I knew then what I know now...no way would I buy a 6.4
