Water in system

My water in fuel light seems to always be going on and off in my 03 550 with the 6.0 i put fuel treatment in it all the time but only seems to work for a while and then the light goes back on?
also how many miles do you think a 2003 6.0 dump truck that plows snow and hauls heavy loads will last? just wondering

When you drain the fuel filter are you seeing any water? 2 Trucks and over 100,000 miles and I have only seen water a few times. Either you need to change stations or you have a bad sensor.

the bad thing about the 6.0 fuel system is it only hold about 3 or 4 oz of water before it throws the light on. you really need to drain the water seperator at every oil change to keep water to a minimum. if you do make sure you change where you fill up and make sure you run the proper filters. if you run a wix style filter water can pass through and get into the injectors.
