ok this is how it works If your going to buy anything you buy what best fits the situation for the money right. so are you expecting to power you stock(or aftermarket speakers) off the deck or hook an amp up to it.Are you going to worry about people jack your system. how much can you spend. are you going to watch movies from it or are just the passengers. do you need electrical roadmaps are you going to have a center channel if so do you want surround sound. last but not least inquality you pay for what you get one way or another look at them play with them ask how easy do they skip see if you can't tell the difference between models alpine, panasonicand kenwood make good products but man these things are expessive I would demand a test drive or somthing just to see how it worked out in a vehicle or better yet a vehicle like yours. If I was going to bet I bet they don't work that hot in the sun lots of glare that true with any glass surface. over all you make the features important that proably ain't the answer your looking for. I though about buying one a year ago I decided not to because I don't see me needing it at all If i pulled my camper or hot shoted it It would be nice for a rear camera but other than that I had no reson to spend that kind of money 2000 grand is insaine for a cd player.
Touch screen, 6.5 screen.detachable face.,mp3,cd,dvd,am,fm.Didn't check to see if it has a tv tuner.Face display when closed & a killer tilt button.
Didn't notice a automatic brightness level. But the dude at Hifii buys knew little more than I did.
The alpine screen that they say is the best is kinda weird when you look at it.......the edges of stuff kinda dances or moves....it's like the pixels are gettin bounced around. And it has less features & is 700 more dollars.
Don't want surround sound on a 6.5 screen anyhow so the 6500 seems the way to go.
Gonna look at the panasonic a little closer cause I worry about the 6500's mechanisim.
Did have a 75 watt bulb shinning on the screen & didn't make a diffrence.
Anyhow........for the features.....it looks like the 6500 is the best bang for the buck.
Just think though.....for 1750 dollars I can have a 6 and a half inch screen & 2 crappy speakers !!!! What a deal !!!!
sounds like you found what you want be fore you buy see if you can talkto someone who has already bought one no matter what you find out the goods and the bads of the unit or get sombodies personal opinon. I havn't had good luck with pioneer. I have never owned one ether but plenty of my friends have spent some serious money(about 500) on them not as much as these things cost . I have had trouble with alpine but that was in the day nothing rescently. by far I have had better luck with kenwood and panasonic.but they are harder to figure out you got to read the manual. just remember its your choice because it your money get what you want look at the construction steel arm or plastic for the screen go though the features see how it takes cd/dvds see what the warrenties are and how you are quilifed for them and buy from a place that you have had good experice with and they probably will not carry junk with a warrenty because they have to replace installed for free the 2nd time around good luck let me know what you buy and if you like it
i would go with the kenwood 911dvd or the m series they are both touchscreen i have the 911 and love it i love it somemuch it have been in 3 different cars
