I have a 1987 Ford Ranger supercab 4x4 with a 2.9 and a 5spd. I want to install an electric fan and remove the mechanical fan. could anyone recomenda durable theromostatic control for me Ireally don't think I can trust the probe in the radiator ones and where on the 2.9 would be a good place to install the sending unit. Thanks for the help in adavance.
Thanks. I wish I had one.....until I had to pay that 60 gallon an hour fuel bill! Imagine what the costs of the annual is on that one.
Placing the probe at the top of the radiator pretty much eliminates something removing it or it being lost. I don't think any type of fourwheeling is going to knock it out.
Mine said to install it right next to the upper radiator inlet. So it is at the top.
5K sounds cheap. Everything must have been all right on it. I know the Skyhawk I fly usually gets hit for 2-3K. The other plane in the fleet is a 210. It's last annual was 12K.
