Tranny hanging up
Recently, my Ford E-350 PSD Transmission is hanging in a high gear on the highway after towing about two hours. It seems that the engine is over reving when it happens.
The truck is equipped with a towing package and large tranny cooler. I do not have a tranny temp guage (ready to invest in one). Any one hear of similar problems with PSD's and their trannys.
Any help would be appreciated

Tranny hanging up
sounds like your converter is not locking . Hard to tell by your description . What transmition do you have ? Ive got a 96 f-350 with an E4OD that had what appears to be the same problem as you have now . I also had erratic shifts and the 1-2 shift was very harsh . Cost me big bucks to get fixed .

It happened again today. Was towing through town, never got to the highway, and tranny seemed to hang up in first gear after about 20 minutes of driving. I am not sure which transmission I have, but it is still under warranty.
