1977 rad
Help, I need a bottom rad tank. It's for a C6 400 F-150 2wd. NOBODY has one in southwester Ontario. To get another rad is going to cost me $650- $900 Canadian. Popa John

Well, you must be looking in the expensive radiator store.
With replacement radiators costing so little I'd not try to repair an old one, actually there's no radiator shop in my neighborhood that actually repairs them any more. They replace them for you, but don't fix what you have.

Ya it is nice to be living in the States. We up here in Canada have to pay the price. When you figure you guys can buy a rad for $180 we get dinged BIG time. By the time we pay the exchange rate , duty, fed and provincial taxes and shipping that's where the $650- $900 comes in .

$289 canadian for the one I bought.. all different price points depending on what you want, 2 row start at $195 C + shipping $50, not sure on import taxes and fees..

Looking for one also for my 79 f150 351m to replace my old brass one. The aluminum are far cheaper down here in the states. From what I have read the aluminum 2 row rads are equivalent to the brass 3 row not due to the metals but the surface area the aluminum provides????

Ordered a Champion 4 row $359.00 CDN plus the $70 shipping. duties and taxes extra. Probably still cheaper than $650 Thanks guys Popa John.

with the champion radiator you may or may not have to modify the mounting bracket depending if yours is a front or rear mount, the champion is a front mount from recollection, also you may need to order 2 fittings for the trans lines to adapt to the trans cooler if it's going to be used.. sorry don't have those part numbers but a google search should help or ask the guys you purchased it from.. also be careful when screwing them into the aluminum as it will strip easily..

7Ford6, thanks for the heads up on the mounting. As for the fittings, I'll be using AN fittings with braided stainless steel hoses. This is more a show truck than a daily driver. More go than it was stock... a LOT more go !!! lol Popa Jphn.
