well no one over on my usual forum , nor much of any one or place else seems to be of much help. i'm in need of a good radiator ,or pointed in the direction of a company that has 'em { found two places npd and mid fifties } , or private individuals , so i can check 'em out and shop . it's for my 53 f-100 with a flathead v-8 . she's my daily driver and if she goes down for long i will begin to suffer from withdrawals and have inexplicable anger issues with her d-m- new pt loser if i have to use it so please help a fellow addict out ............................. p.s i already went through the classifieds and have got a mile long list of places on the net ...............
thanx guy . i have checked 'em out but really , and this sounds nuts , i wanna stay with a more oe look than the aftermarket radiators . im not a resto freak , just dont want a shiny show car rad in front of my ugly , greasy ol' flatty . just wouldn't be right .............................
I just bought a radiator. Looked all over the net, found quotes varying by hundreds of dollars. Then I called the local chains & they had the typical aftermarket aluminum + plastic tank flavor for slightly less than any website I'd seen (and no shipping charge).
Then I called a local independent radiator shop and they were able to order me a giant OE-spec "super cooling" radiator for $40 less than the lowest price I'd found anywhere else. Took about 4 days to arrive and is exactly what I wanted. Just some food for thought.
