I tried the search bar, but couldn't find any other threads with the same issue addressed. Anyway, I finally got all the required paperwork done to get my truck on the road! I went to put the stuff in the glove box, which I have never opened, and lo and behold, the darn thing is stuck shut. The button won't go in or out and I kind of want to avoid cutting the cardboard box up to get at the latch from the inside if I can.
It's not the lockable sort, if that helps. Any wisdom would be appreciated.
Mine sometimes gets stuck because its not aligned very well, yours definitely a different issue (since the button is stuck). My advise is to coax the button to work using some WD-40 or similar.

MY glove box button worked fine but door wouldn't pop open , I bent the upper striker (mounted to dash) down with a flat blade screwdriver . This fixed the problem for me . over time it must have flattened out .
My button wouldn't move very much at first. The door was slightly bent out and put a lot of pressure on the latch. I had to push the center of the door in and then push hard on the button. Slightly flexed the ends out to straighten it, some steel wool to the mating surfaces and proper alignment and now it's smooth as a baby's bottom.
