air ride vs shocks
My '93 F350 rides hard when empty. After reading the archives on the DieselStop forum about air ride, I called around trying to find a local source. A tire shop (Belle Tire) service person told me that air ride bags wouldn't improve the ride but that I needed to replace the shocks. He recommended Reflex Shocks. I said Thanks and then did some Internet searching and found lots of people recommending Rancho 9000 shocks for improving the ride.
I really need to soften the ride both for the sake of my husband and the vintage Airstream I tow occasionally. The stiff suspension right now is having some bad effects on the A/S. I can't afford a different tow vehicle, so am looking for any less costly fixes.
TIA for advice.
