Question about wheel well liners

I have some front wheel well liners I got from the junkyard. I've had them for a while now I can remember how they were on the truck. Does the plastic go on the outside of the lip or inside? Thanks

From looking at the screw markings, I believe they go o the outside of the lip.

It would also help protect the fender lip from debris chips in the paint.

I'm pretty sure they go on the outside, just like your picture... At least how they are on my truck, and I'm fairly certain they haven't ever been touched.

Confirmed. They go on the outside or exposed side of the wheel well lip as shown above.

Clean both sides of the lip, position the liner, mark, drill 'em, deburr, and then treat both sides of the holes with a lil dab of POR-15. In other words, do your best to prevent rust!!
