Voltage Regulator

I am not getting a charge from my generator to my battery.
The generstor was tested at a local shop and rechecked after installation.
Wiring is new and correct.

I suspect I have a bad or incorrect regulator.

Anyone running a 12v - 30amp generator (mine is from a 1964 F100) who can provide a Ford part number?

Thanks!

Try Autolite GR-268 63TZ-10505-B

Look for NOS from the 60s, they don't cost that much more and are made to work, a lot heavier.

Why not a new electronic, Ted? No personal experience, but it always seemed to make sense to me.

For a generator? Nobody makes one afaik.

The Bosch VW regulator can be made to work I guess. They are electronic (solid state) but other than that generator regulators all have cutout relays. Maybe more modern Ford regulators work with generators? Never tried it.
