I got the reman Full Force stock injectors. I really wanted single shot injectors, but I don't know how long I'm going to keep the truck, and I already had two "new" injectors with about 70k miles on them, so I figured I'd try the remans. I'm more than pleased with them so far. I have a DP with 80e and 60t. And the GP is Motorcraft.
The one glow plug was hard to get out huh.. If I were you I would go back in and replace the other 7. I know it's a lot of work but if the tips swell over time they won't come back out through the hole and you will have to pull the head to remove it.
When I first read this thread, I thought "injector poppet" as well. My F250 has been running this way for about 4 years now, and it is indeed a light switch effect when the tired injector kicks in. Sometimes, in the winter, I have to extend my 9 minute drive to the office by about 2 minutes so I can make sure that it finally kicks in before I shut it down to sit all day in the parking lot.
I know what the issue is, but continue to drive in denial (laziness). I should go ahead and pull the covers to find culprit and replace it before this winter. I already know I need to replace both batteries, so I might as well hit it with an even smack to knock both issues in the head at once.
