Nice build! Nothing wrong with those welds, looks like you are off to a great start. Is that a mechanical 24V or electronic? Forgive me if I am off base on the cummins as I don't know a ton about them.
Had to move out of my little shop and into a garage again.
I now have the cab on the truck, the transmission/engine officially in place and it's ready to start doing the finishing parts to make it driveable. (brakes, clutch, steering)
That thing is bad ***!!!! So many lowered 2wd rigs on here that I love seeing somebody doing an all-out custom 4x4. A guy on the duramax forum recently dropped a 57 body on an 06 Dmax chassis & I was impressed, but yours is on a much higher level. Awesome work!
I have sorted out the steering dilemma,
I decided to go with a steering gear box off of an 06 Dodge ram 2500. the power steering lines and hydroboost are pretty much setup, the master cylinder and slave cylinder are mounted, and the steering shaft and u joints are ready t be installed, i am just awaiting my ididit steering column to show up (ordered it 2 months ago literally...)
The mount for the steering gear is incomplete in this picture, i am not leaving it as a square piece and will cut it down to look nicer then weld it to the frame.as well as brace that top piece of the mount so it has no chance of moving.
The Powersteering cooler and intercooler are mounted temporarily as i have to change some things to get them aligned right.. OH and i did happen to find a good radiator core support along the way!
