Unhappy Big Mistake With Jumper Cables

Major mistake this afternoon when jumping my 86 F150. Got the cables backwards and smoked a wire. Now ignition key causes no clicking sound, radio won't work...where do I start on getting this truck going again. The damaged wire comes off the positive side of the starter relay and has an orange plastic block that says "fusible link". Can't believe I did this... Thanks for any advice you can offer.

Thats a inline Fuse Wire, You'll need to find the Fuselink in there wire. The Place Whee the fuse is has a bubble or bulgde in the line, You'll need to Cutt the Fuse link out and replace it.

Thanks Txquadhunter24! Went up to NAPA and they had a 16 GA Fusible Link wire. Clipped the old one off and crimped on the new one...truck started and runs fine. Can't believe that's all that got damaged...FORD tough I guess! Many Thanks!!!!!
