Crew Cab Step Bars, Part # Confusion

Howdy everyone, it's a somewhat simple question with a longer back-story,

I have an '06 F250 CC. I'm the second owner, and it came to me with OEM Ford 5" Tubular step bars in black. They are the same style as seen in the image below.

I need to replace just the passenger side bar, and can't find a part # on the bars themselves, though they are OEM, as they have the Ford logo on top and are stamped Fomoco. So through some research, I found part # BC3Z-16450-DB, which is what is pictured in the above photo. Looks the same, I thought.

However - the likeness is where the similarities seem to end. The bars on my truck do very closely resemble the ones in the image, same Ford logo on the pads, however mine are fully enclosed - literally a tube. The part # I found (and purchased, Oh woe is me), has step bars that are open on the bottom. The mounting brackets are also notably a different size - several inches narrower. Bolt pattern for the bracket to bar mounts are different as well.

In short, I don't want to replace all 6 brackets and both boards on both sides, my running lights are mounted to the brackets, it's just not something I'm interested in redoing. My question to you all, anyone have any idea where to find the same style bars that are on my truck? All I need is a single step bar, but fully enclosed versus open bottom. Any suggestions, help, advice would be appreciated it. Local Ford dealer parts dept. weren't much help, all they could find was the above part #, which isn't what I really want. My next step will be scouring the local pick n pulls I suppose...

Can provide more info if needed.

Thanks!!

I would check craigslist. I got a pair of step bars for $100 total. With so many variations in them it may be necessary to modify another set, unless you can wait until one comes up for sale.

If what's important to you is that the step bar is fully enclosed, you could weld the bottom shut and then paint it.

I would check with a collision repair shop for that information. They are experts at matching the correct parts.

I usually check once a day, most of what I find are the chrome ones, but indeed I'll keep looking.

It's not simply aesthetics, it's that the closed bottom ones that I have now have a different bolt pattern than the open ones. Which ultimately means I may just fab an adaptor plate.

Unfortunately two shops I've talked to have spit that same part number back at me!

Thanks to all of you for your input!
