Have 02 f150 2wd supercrew. New plugs new, coil packs. Truck has no 02 sensors truck was straight piped from previous owner. Anyways truck ran good for about a month then it started to misfire. Changed all the plugs. Runs good for a few min then will start the misfire again. Changed the plugs with platinum plugs and all new coil packs. Still same thing will run fine for a few then starts back up with a misfire and now power will driving. Anyway to check my injectors or does anybody else have the same problem truck has 163k on it.
Sounds like a complete fuel system overhaul or a major vaccuum leak whick both are not good or cheap usually more than the truck is worth esp with that many miles on it that year is notorious for electrical failures and transmission problems at high milage

Good lord we have super rich people here on FTE now---scrap a truck with virtually no miles due one small problem.
I'm driving a 2000 E250 with 5.4 motor, 4R70W transmission and just now topping 276+ miles----should I scrap it too?
A diesel engine might be a good candidate for the shredder with the OP's mileage and year but not so much the Ford Modular Motors---they're worth a few dollars repair on occasion to keep 'em running great for a long long time.

Might want to do a little research on that transmission k own for slipping And the wench breaking off I've been a mechanic for over 30 years and for a 02 f150 book valued at 2000 to max its not worth the repair or the overhaul and why there are over 10124 complaints on that transmission when you look up f150 transmission problems

Your valuation of what's economical to fix or to scrap leaves out about a million facts unknown to both you and I.
All this "book value" BS is fine for those making a living buying/selling/trading vehicles, especially if financing is required. It does little to nothing establishing what something is worth as it relates to a paid-for vehicle used as affordable transportation or utility.
OP might like a direction to head in diagnosing his driveability issues instead of the "scrap it out........." or "complete fuel system rebuild......" advice.
