Rear view camera blurry?

So my 2012 rearview camera was super clear and this 2013 is super blurry! Only difference is that this one has has MyFordTouch with no nav. The 12 had the nav option. Camera lens its self looks clean.
Oh yeah and the thing automatically autoplays my voicemails as soon as I start the truck and I hate that it does that. Can't figure out how to get that from happening. Any help would be great!!!

You should be able to go into your phone setting and turn off playing your text messages or voice messages.

suspect the blurry video is the camera.

Hi Bite N Hold,

Have you had your dealership check out your camera? I'd recommend that as a next step. How many miles are on the truck? Regarding your voicemail concern, reach out to my colleagues on the in-vehicle technology team (FordIVTTeam). Here's a link to their profile: Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums - View Profile: FordIVTteam

I will soon be taking mine in for the same reason. My '10s camera was great, this one is getting very blurry. Especially hard to see at night now.

Right there with you Monty.
Crystal it has 46000 but it is a Ford Certified truck and has warranty until 56k. Not sure if the camera is covered or not.

Hi Bite N Hold,

Your service manager will be in the best position to tell you if a repair can be made under your warranty. Come back and tell us how your appointment goes.

I think it is just a matter of the resolution of the monitor not being as sharp as the ones installed in the 2011-12 model years. Maybe a cost cutting downgrade.

Sounds like a plan, Monty. How many miles are on your truck these days?

I would hope not... technology has gotten cheaper over the years. If anything needs to get sharper, it is that image. Safety requires it.

69cj- Which nav/audio system do you have?
Are there different screens altogether or is it just the software that is different?
